BIENVENIDX and WELCOME

LXDEA is comprised of 79 Alliance members working independently and across various institutions, including community grassroots and independent organizations, dance studios and conservatories, K-12 public and private schools, and post-secondary institutions. Located in diverse geographic regions of the United States, including Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Wisconsin, Puerto Rico, and throughout Bolivia, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and México, Alliance members hold various expertise in dance education research and practice. 

 

All 79 Alliance members support one another’s projects and professional pursuits through co-presenting and attending conferences, performances, etc, and stay in communication through plática, both hosted by LXDEA and in an informal closed FaceBook Group, and via a monthly publicación of Alliance happenings. This consortium of Latinx/e identifying dance educators are invested in vetting, sourcing, and further developing the database of Latinx/e centered resources, called the Oasis, made available through this platform for the dance community.
